GENBAND has announced that Hong Kong Broadband Network (HKBN) has selected the GENBAND GENiUS all-IP platform to enable the transformation and modernization of HKBN�s communications network. GENBAND will be migrating TDM and first generation VoIP switches, as well as first generation SIP servers, to the GENiUS-powered IP solution. This will allow HKBN to offer advanced business and residential multimedia communications capabilities across the region, stated the company.

HKBN is the fastest growing broadband service provider in Hong Kong, with fiber service reach of nearly two million residential homes and 1,700 commercial buildings with services including 100-1000Mb/s broadband access, telephony and IPTV.
