ASTC, Tanner EDA collaborate on EDA tools, services

06 Jun 2012

Tanner EDA, the company offering design, layout and verification of analog and mixed-signal ICs, and Australian Semiconductor Technology Corporation (ASTC), a global consulting services firm for semiconductors, software and systems, have teamed up to deliver global analog /mixed signal ASIC design services and solutions, the companies revealed.

ASTC with its manufacturing partners will deliver A/MS IP and Custom ASIC turnkey design services with Tanner EDA tools and flows. ASTC has invested in IP enablement and infrastructure readiness with Tanner EDA tools and flows to deliver low cost A/MS design service solutions to its A/MS ASIC customers globally.

"Tanner EDA tools, flows and partnership enable the ASTC A/MS Design Services operation to offer new, lower cost, design solutions to a new range of global customers and ASIC segments. Previously cost-prohibitive A/MS ASIC product ideas have now become feasible and profitable propositions both for our customers and for ASTC A/MS Design Services," noted Jay Yantchev, CEO of ASTC.

"Tanner EDA is dedicated to providing our analog, custom, and mixed-signal design customers with the best possible price for performance, and excellent interoperability," said John Zuk, VP of marketing and business strategy for Tanner EDA. "Our collaboration with ASTC allows us to address a critical need in the analog and mixed-signal design space."
