CSRµEnergy SDK 1.4 speeds Bluetooth smart device dev't
29 Jun 2012Bluetooth v4.0 introduced low energy technology to the Bluetooth standard, enabling new Bluetooth smart devices that can operate for months or even years on tiny, coin-cell batteries. With 10 qualified Bluetooth v4.0 profiles, eight related sample applications and numerous services included with the CSRµEnergy SDK 1.4, developers can create working Bluetooth low energy applications in as little as 10 minutes, according to Paul Williamson, senior product marketing manager, CSR. Manufacturing and testing are simplified too, with the SDK's support for the direct test modes found in test and measurement products from Rhode & Schwartz and Anritsu.
Sample applications of the SDK include medical devices for heart rate, glucose and blood pressure, thermometer, proximity tag, phone alert status and notification, mouse, keyboard and smart remote.
