(Business News, 14 Feb 2007 )
By Vinod Kataria

F5 Networks Inc., in application delivery networking, opened the F5 Technology Center in Singapore to help enterprises address performance, availability, and security issues in the new era of delivering mission critical applications over the Internet.

The new F5 Technology Center, the first for the company in Asia Pacific, is modeled after F5 Technology Center in Seattle. The Center will house the full suite of F5 solutions, along with key business applications from major enterprise software partners such as Microsoft, SAP, Oracle and BEA. F5 solutions showcased at the center will focus on five core areas: business continuity, user experience, application security, universal security enforcement and consolidation.

Le Tuan Quoc, general manager of Singapore, Indonesia and Vietnam, F5 Networks, said, "The business landscape in Asia, particularly in Singapore, has been influenced by uptake in new technologies. Consumers and businesses alike no longer want to go back to the previous Internet eras. Instead, businesses are identifying new and creative ways to take advantage of the new Internet era to dramatically grow their business. The market relies on F5 for innovative and dependable application acceleration solutions to ensure their business applications will always be available, fast and secure for users across the globe," he added, "We have been working closely with all our key partners for their feedback in order to ensure that their requirements have been incorporated into the Center. Our local distributor, Transition Systems, has also been heavily involved, contributing a number of resources to help us get the center up and running."
