Telogis, a provider of LBS systems and services, announced the launch of version 2.7 of its GeoBase Geospatial engine. GeoBase offers a scalable, feature rich, easy-to-use mapping engine that delivers core geospatial functionality in a software application.
GeoBase supports numerous platforms in delivering functionality to enterprise applications and is used by many of the AVL and MRM software and systems companies.
The new version 2.7 is upgrade that builds upon the power of the spatial engine. It includes a new technology that allows you to 'stream' geobase functionality across the web. Automatic client and server caching give better performance with a tiny install footprint. GeoStream .NET is transparent to existing GeoBase applications allowing customers to determine system architectures at deployment time rather than development time. Its UTF-8 Support extends its coverage footprint to areas such as China, Japan and Russia through extended character set support.
