Agere expands licensing agreement with Silicon for HiveFlex processors

Silicon Hive announced that Agere Systems in Allentown Pennsylvania USA expanded its licensing relationship with Silicon Hive. Agere signed a new license agreement for Silicon’s HiveFlex CSP 2000 Series application specific communications processors. Agere's Telecommunications & Enterprise Networking business unit is using the HiveFlex CSP 2000 processor in communications applications.

George Szanto, vice president of marketing at Silicon Hive, said, "we have had a successful on-going relationship with Agere Systems since 2004 and are pleased to be able to provide an additional new HiveFlex core to them in a new application domain. We intend to keep working closely with Agere Systems as a valuable customer in their pursuit to push the envelope of innovative communications integrated circuits."
