Ascender Corporation, provider of fonts for hardware & software developers, announced a new version of the Ascender Personality Kit for Windows Mobile 5.0 devices. The new version of the software can be embedded or installed into a mobile device so users can change how their smartphone looks and sounds. It is said that the Ascender Personality Kit is the first product to combine ringtones, themes, background images and fonts in matched sets with software that lets users select and apply them to their mobile device. The new version is targeted at handset manufacturers and wireless carriers to license as a value-add or promotional item.
Steve Kuhlman, vice president of Ascender Corporation, said, "We had some great feedback from the first version, including a request for a device-based version that could be customized to meet the needs of wireless carriers and handset manufacturers.
