Aeroflex opens new ATE applications group in Shanghai, China

(Business News, 02 Apr 2007 )

Aeroflex has announced the opening of its Test Applications Group in Shanghai, China. This is a test programming and fixturing facility that supports the Aeroflex 4200 Series, 5200 Series and the 5800 Series Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) systems. This facility fully supports users in the Asia Pacific region and has the ability to offer full In-Circuit (ICT), Manufacturing Defects Analyzer (MDA) and Functional Test Solutions.

Aeroflex is said to be the only ATE supplier to provide the full turnkey solution at a local level with competitive pricing. By being physically located in the APAC region, Aeroflex has the flexibility to provide local service and lifetime support contacts to its customers. Aeroflex is not just supplying products to the region, it is fully embedded with this new support facility.

The new applications group allows Aeroflex ATE customers who have expanded into the low cost manufacturing in the Asia Pacific region the ability to reduce the cost of ongoing capital investment support. They can now rely on Aeroflex to provide low cost high quality test fixtures and programs locally. The new group can quickly develop and modify test fixtures and test programs to ensure customers a minimum downtime in the fast moving, high volume manufacturing test environment. In addition, the group will house spare parts for all Aeroflex ATE products to make sure service contract commitments can be quickly fulfilled.
