Panasonic and Hanoi University of Technology (HUT) have announced an establishment of a partnership for educating embedded software engineers. Panasonic will provide a new course at Hanoi University of Technology, following the establishment of Panasonic R&D Center Vietnam Co., Ltd. Panasonic and Hanoi University of Technology have been working on joint research and development initiatives since September 2006. The establishment of the new course will enhance the partnership between Panasonic and HUT.
"It is significant that we build deeper collaboration with businesses, such as inviting on-site engineers from Panasonic to lecture" said Professor Ha Duyen Tu, Vice Rector of Hanoi University of Technology.
"Panasonic aims to contribute to the development of education for embedded software engineers in Vietnam, with its business expansion in the country," said Kazuhiro Tsuga, Executive Officer of Matsushita Electric Industrial Co., Ltd. in charge of Digital Network & Software Technology, and Overseas R&D Centers.
The objective of the new course is to provide training for talented new engineers in the area of embedded software. Each year, about 30 undergraduates will be selected for the course through an examination process. Panasonic will dispatch their engineers to the class for management and support.
Panasonic also plans to accept the internship for excellent students of the course at Panasonic R&D Center Vietnam Co., Ltd and other Panasonic Group companies in Japan.
