Nu Horizons Electronics and Microsemi Corporation have entered an agreement by which Nu Horizons becomes a globally authorized distributor of Microsemi's analog and mixed-signal products. These products include controller integrated circuits (ICs), ambient light sensors and LCD backlight inverters.
Microsemi differentiates its integrated circuit products with patented topologies that provide superior performance and unique functional capabilities. Their high reliability semiconductors offer patented packaging designs that reduce component size, while increasing their power handling capability. Typical applications for Microsemi's products include implantable pacemakers and cardio-defibrillators; MRI systems; wireless LAN client and mini-PCI cards; military aircraft, space and weapons systems; industrial power supplies and solar power inverters; and the LCD displays found in notebook computers, monitors, LCD TVs, and automotive GPS and entertainment systems.
