Japanese interface empowers developers with C++ tools for NEC 78K

(Product News, 18 May 2007 )

IAR Systems has launched a Japanese-language version of IAR Embedded Workbench for NEC Electronics 78K, a powerful suite of essential build and debug tools for embedded projects using both C and C++ that supports the NEC Electronics 78K0R core. The suite allows Japanese developers of embedded systems based on the 78K microcontroller to be able for the first time to work in their own language when developing applications within IAR Systems’ well-respected and robust IAR Embedded Workbench programming environment.

IAR Embedded Workbench for NEC Electronics 78K includes a C/C++ compiler, assembler and debugger. Producing code with the IAR C++ compiler offers the benefits of object-oriented programming to produce compact and efficient code. The integral C-SPY debugger incorporates a wide choice of drivers for its simulator, as well as NEC IECUBE and MINICUBE2 emulators.

In common with all the IAR Embedded Workbench family, the new version operates in an integrated, feature-rich graphical development environment that provides a user-friendly platform for continuous workflow. Its open architecture permits the use of RTOS and other plug-in modules from third party tool suppliers. The suite supports MISRA, ORTI and many different object formats and debugger interfaces.
