Ness Technologies has launched the Ness-Sense program, commemorating the World Environment Day, with the goal of empowering employees and communities to reduce carbon emissions as part of the company’s commitment to social responsibility.
The Ness-Sense program aims to reduce carbon emissions and to support environmental protection in the long-term, by educating people to conserve energy resources and reduce consumption of energy resources.
Carbon dioxide emissions are causing the earth’s climate to change and warm. This will lead to catastrophic results unless properly dealt with. The effects of climate change can already be seen. Temperatures are rising, glaciers are receding at unprecedented speeds, ice shelves are breaking off, tsunamis occur frequently, warmer seasons are becoming longer and storms are growing more severe and causing great damage. Reducing carbon dioxide emissions globally is the key to fighting climate change.
Ness-Sense aims at checking and addressing carbon emissions via:
· Education and awareness exercises
· Periodic internal carbon audits
· Outreach Programs
The Ness-Sense program will start with Ness employees and their families, through education & awareness exercises. Ness employees, who will volunteer to implement Ness-Sense externally, will help educate their communities. In each course, participants will have the opportunity to use basic carbon audit resources to get them started on the program. Once employees have completed the course, they will review it by filling out the scorecard. They will then submit completed scorecards for a chance to win prizes as part of the Ness-Sense reward program.
