Trend Micro extends agreement with Microsoft Corp. to continue provision of antivirus scanning for Windows Live Hotmail customers

Trend Micro Incorporated has announced that its previous agreement with Microsoft Corp. has been extended to the successor to MSN Hotmail, Windows Live Hotmail. Trend Micro will continue providing real-time antivirus scanning and cleaning protection to approximately 280-million active Windows Live Hotmail and MSN Hotmail email accounts.
Through the one-year agreement, Trend Micro provides users of Windows Live Hotmail with scanning and detection services that provide automatic protection every time email attachments are sent and received, helping to ensure a security-enhanced Internet experience. Antivirus technology and services from Trend Micro help protect email messages and attachments in Windows Live Hotmail by scanning in real-time for viruses, Trojans, worms, and other malicious threats.
