HCL brings one terabyte storage personal computer in India

New Delhi: HCL Infosystems Limited has launched personal computer with One Terabyte hard drive capacity, focusing on designing and animation professionals and consumers who use and store multimedia content such as personal videos, home movies, high-definition pictures and music.

Powered by Hitachi Global Storage Technologies’ recently launched Deskstar 7K1000 hard drive, industry’s first hard drive with One TB capacity, the new HCL PC has been introduced in two flavours, entry level and a high-end Digital Content Creation Workstation. These PCs offers ten times more average storage space than other PCs available in the market today. The entry level PC ships with Intel Core Two Duo processor, One GB RAM, 17” Flat Panel Monitor, HCL EC2 Technology and HCL Active Management Console. Digital Content Creation Workstation comes loaded with Intel Core Two Duo processor and a special bundle of Quadro FX 1500 and Adobe Production Studio Premium.

Our launch of India’s first One Terabyte PC, armed with Hitachi’s record-breaking Deskstar 7K1000 hard drive, delivers unparalleled storage advantage to enterprise users working on storage-intensive applications across industries, including publishing, designing and production houses,” he added, “Today’s consumers are living digital lifestyles and are always demanding more hard drive storage capacity for their videos, music and photographs; all of which consume large volumes of hard drive space. These new PCs will take care of all their storage needs and ensure that they no longer have to worry about running out of disk space.”
