Wipro Gets Global Certified Advantage Partner Status in the Oracle PartnerNetwork

Wipro Technologies, the global IT services division of Wipro Limited has announced today that it has achieved global Certified Advantage Partner status in the Oracle PartnerNetwork.

Oracle Certified Advantage Partner is the highest level of membership in Oracle PartnerNetwork, one reserved for partners who have consistently demonstrated the highest level of competency and commitment to Oracle. Through the enhanced level of technical enablement, deeper business and executive collaboration with Oracle, available through the Oracle Certified Partner status, Wipro is significantly well-positioned to deliver industry specific business solutions globally, build on Oracle Technology and Applications, including Oracle, PeopleSoft, and JD Edwards families of products.

Wipro's Oracle practice has a successful record of large scale, pan-geographical project engagements with companies worldwide, across industries and processes. The practice boasts of being one of the most experienced worldwide, providing consulting services, package implementation and total applications outsourcing services on the Oracle family of products.

Wipro and Oracle are working together on several major initiatives that support industry-specific solutions, to provide greater value to joint customers during engagements.

Wipro is also developing tools, frameworks and methodologies based on Oracle Applications. Tools developed will cut-down application integration cost by 30 - 40% and ongoing maintenance cost of managing integration by 60% and the methodologies will accelerate customers' time-to-production.

Also, Wipro being a strategic partner of Oracle is working very closely with Oracle on taking Oracle Fusion solutions to the market. As part of this, Wipro participated in the Fusion - Applications and Technology Strategy briefing hosted by Charles Philips on 18 January, 2006 for key customers and prospects.
