TimeSys Introduces Global ASSP Program

(Interviews, 14 Mar 2006 )

TimeSys Corporation, the leading developer service provider for the embedded Linux market, has announced the launch of a global Authorized Support and Service Partner (ASSP) program in response to growing demand for LinuxLink by TimeSys(TM) subscriptions in key international markets. LinuxLink is the first commercial offering to support the majority of embedded Linux developers who build and assemble their own commercial-grade custom Linux platform.

The ASSP program delivers comprehensive, native-language sales, support and value added-services to LinuxLink subscribers. ASSP program members participate in the Developer Exchange, which provides LinuxLink subscribers with access to interactive support from TimeSys, semiconductor companies and industry experts. All partners are provided with ongoing access to comprehensive sales tools, market information, technical support and training to effectively market, sell and support LinuxLink.

"The unique LinuxLink subscription model, which is the first to aid and empower developers creating a one-of-a-kind Linux platform for their embedded device, has resonated strongly with developers worldwide," said Larry Weidman, president and CEO of TimeSys. "Through the ASSP program, we are teaming with best-of-class organizations to provide the highest level of local support to our international customers."

The initial members of the ASSP program join Nissin Systems, a long-standing TimeSys partner experienced in the embedded real-time market. Nissin has been successfully selling and supporting TimeSys products in Japan since 2001.

"We are pleased to continue our long-standing relationship with TimeSys by offering LinuxLink to our customers," said Yoshikazu Takeuchi, general manager, Nissin Systems. "LinuxLink is a unique offering for Nissin customers developing devices used in a wide range of markets such as telecommunications, consumer devices and industrial automation."
