CinTel Corporation, a leader in Internet traffic management, has announced that it has signed a sales agreement for iCache 7000 Series with the Hynix Semiconductor Incorporated (Hynix) in Wuxi, China.
Hynix is the world's second largest memory semiconductor company and has three production facilities (two in Korea and one in the United States). CinTel will be supplying its iCache to Hynix's new fabrication line in Wuxi, People's Republic of China, which is scheduled to be completed before the end of the first half of 2006. Furthermore, as Hynix facilities adds capacity and/or production lines, CinTel may be expected to supply ever greater volume of iCache as internet traffic increases.
Mr. Yong-Jin Choi of Hynix said, "We decided to purchase CinTel's iCache to reduce the traffic volume and improve the response time between Hynix headquarters and Wuxi. Furthermore, iCache's content filtering, upload size limitation and other security features were very attractive features to a technology company such as Hynix which values network security as any loss of data can be fatal to us. Thus, CinTel's iCache improved not only the quality and efficiency of the existing features but also added security solutions."
This supply to Hynix is a good example of CinTel's global marketing strategy where CinTel accompanies its clients in global business. As is evident since the second half of last year, CinTel provides ITM and security solutions as its clients expand their operations by adding plants, offices or branches. This enables CinTel to enter new markets with minimal costs.
Mr. Kyung-Seop Lee, Department Chief for Sales of CinTel's Korean subsidiary states, "I am so proud that CinTel was able to win orders for its iCache product from both the world's number one and number two semiconductor companies. What appealed to Hynix was not only that CinTel's iCache product enables stable Internet environment and improvement of security but that it has market-proven stability."
Sang-Don Kim, the CEO of CinTel added, "The significance of Hynix sale in China is that this is the first sale to China since our supply to Weida three years ago. As everyone can guess, China has the fastest growing Internet users in the world and is already the world's second largest Internet using country after the United States. This sale to Hynix will enable CinTel to jump-start our sales to China which had been in a sales slump over the last three years, as Hynix will serve as an excellent reference site. We are currently under discussions for several projects from very significant clients in China."
