Nu Horizons Expands into Asia Pacific with Office in Melbourne

(Interviews, 15 Jun 2006 )

Nu Horizons Electronics Corp. has announced the opening of their first office in Australia, located in Melbourne, Victoria. This location provides local sales and engineering support within Australia and was established as part of the company's ongoing Asia Pacific expansion plans.

"Melbourne has become an initial footprint in the Australia/New Zealand region for Nu Horizons," says Wendell Boyd, president of Nu Horizons Asia Pte Ltd. "With our specialised brand and service, Nu Horizons sees the potential to expand quickly in this territory. There are gaps in the market we wish to fill and our partners are encouraging this expansion."

Nu Horizons presently has 17 Asia Pacific sales locations: Greater China (Beijing, Chengdu, Hong Kong, Nanjing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Wuhan and Taipei), India (Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai and New Delhi), Thailand (Bangkok), Malaysia (Penang), Singapore, South Korea (Seoul) and Australia (Melbourne). To support these locations and growing customer demand, a new state-of-the-art distribution center opened last year in Singapore, providing various service and fulfillment requirements.
