Aprio Technologies has announced the opening of its new branch office in Japan, signaling the company's increasing commitment to support advanced IC manufacturers in this region. The company also announced that it has appointed Takahisa Nakao as its Japan sales director.
This announcement follows the recent opening of Aprio's new sales office in Taiwan and is one more step in the company's global strategy to fully support the emerging advanced semiconductor manufacturing market.
"The Japan market has now grown to a point which requires a direct channel and presence. We are providing DFM solutions that have substantial impact on this market," remarked Mike Gianfagna, president and CEO of Aprio. "With this new Aprio office in Japan, we will be able to provide superior local support to our Japanese customers."
Nakao, Aprio's new Japan sales director, has 20 years of experience in the EDA and semiconductor industries. Prior to joining Aprio, he was VP of sales at Pacific Design Inc. He has also held sales manager positions at Synopsys Japan and Seiko Instruments Inc.
