Egenera Signs Korean Distribution Agreement with CJ Systems

(Interviews, 14 Aug 2006 )

Egenera Inc. has announced that it has entered into a distribution agreement with CJ Systems, a system integration service provider in Korea. CJ Systems builds, operates and manages strategic information systems for businesses. The company is owned by CJ Group, which is made up of 59 affiliates and 28 overseas networks. Under the terms of the agreement, CJ Systems will resell the Egenera BladeFrame system to a broad customer base.

"CJ Systems is working with Egenera because the BladeFrame system is unlike anything else in the market," said Il-Hwan Kim, president, CJ Systems. "While other vendor solutions are tied to legacy server architectures with unmanageable complexity, Egenera draws upon flexible, secure and responsive utility computing and virtualization technologies. Egenera can provide the fully integrated solution that our customers are looking for."

"We are pleased to be working with CJ Systems and are honored to be playing an integral role in their outsourcing and solutions offering," said Mike Thompson, chief operating officer, Egenera. "With this joint commitment, CJ Systems can confidently offer clients high business value with a competitive advantage."
