LG.Philips LCD has announced that it received the BSC Hall of Fame Award at the 2006 Asia Pacific Balanced Scorecard (BSC) Summit & Hall of Fame for Executing Strategy held in Shanghai, China, on September 5, 2006. LG.Philips LCD is the first Korean manufacturer and the first company in the display industry to receive this award.
Dr. Robert S. Kaplan of the Harvard Business School and co-creator of the Balanced Scorecard strategy management framework said, "LG.Philips LCD succeeded in implementing its business strategy through the use of the BSC, and accomplished remarkable growth to become a world's leading LCD company over a short period of time."
Upon receiving the award, LG.Philips LCD Vice Chairman and CEO Bon Joon Koo said, "We are very happy to be recognized with this award. LG.Philips LCD has built a business management system befitting a leading global company, which we will use to deliver greater value to our customers."
