Cadence Design Systems (India) Pvt Ltd has announced that Wipro Technologies has chosen Cadence for its VLSI and System Design services business portfolio. The move streamlines design technology operations and establishes Cadence tools and flows across the organization, thus increasing efficiency and minimizing costs for its operations. Adopting some of the new technologies from Cadence, Wipro further expands its EagleWision methodology to get more power optimization while enhancing its integrated chip-package-board analysis and modeling design approach.

"The Cadence innovative engagement models, the depth and breadth of technology and its inventive approaches to solving customer problems, made it the frontrunner when we decided to enhance our complete product development service for our customers," said A Vasudevan, vice president, VLSI System Design, Wipro Technologies. "Cadence is a key partner and has provided outstanding support for more than a decade as we taped out designs from 0.35 to our recent ASICs in the 90-nanometer and 65-nanometer area reaching complexities of more than 45 million gates."

"The Cadence leadership position ensures that we will continue to support Wipro as they strive to achieve their goals by providing leading-edge electronic-design solutions and innovative engagement models. Cadence is committed to Wipro's success," said Jaswinder Ahuja, corporate vice president and managing director, Cadence Design Systems (India) Pvt Ltd.
