Egenera Opens Regional Offices in Beijing and Singapore

(Top News, 13 Mar 2007 )

Egenera Inc. has announced the opening of regional offices in Beijing and Singapore. These offices effectively scale the level of commitment and investment the company continues to make in growing its business globally.

"Based on business growth and the strength of our strategic industry partnerships, the time was right for another major expansion within the Asia Pacific region," said James Ryan, vice president, Asia Pacific operations for Egenera. "In particular, we're seeing tremendous traction within the banking and telecommunications sectors in China, which is driving the need for an even larger Egenera presence. We recognize the importance of the region to our business and to the industries we serve, and we're responding swiftly.

"Singapore's status as a financial hub makes it a compelling place for Egenera. And, with thousands of multi-national corporations doing business out of Singapore -- many of which are already Egenera customers and partners -- establishing an office there can only help us build on existing opportunities and drive new business there and in surrounding regions such as the Philippines, Vietnam and Cambodia," continued Ryan.

Egenera maintains its Asia Pacific headquarters in Hong Kong as well as regional operations in Shanghai, China and Bangalore, India. In addition, the company continues to grow its Japan business out of its Japanese headquarters in Tokyo.
