Legend Releases Turbo-MSIM Fast-SPICE Simulator for Verification, Analysis and Characterization in SoC Design

Legend Design Technology Inc. has announced the release of Turbo-MSIM, a Fast-SPICE circuit simulator with super high speed and extremely large capacity while maintaining the SPICE accuracy. Turbo-MSIM can dramatically speed the time for simulating either full-chip hierarchical circuits or the flattened layout-extracted netlists with a huge number of resistors and capacitors. For nanometer circuit designs using complex device models, Turbo-MSIM has the capability to perform full-chip transistor-level simulation and analysis, and nails down any design and layout problem for achieving silicon success.

For detailed and critical-path circuit simulation, MSIM has been proven very efficient for the applications such as analog designs and library characterization. As for complex full-chip circuit simulation, Turbo-MSIM has demonstrated the capability of dramatically increasing the speed and capacity, especially for the extracted circuits from layout. The targets of Turbo-MSIM applications will be large digital circuits, full memory circuits, analog and mixed-signal designs.
