Sigma Names Edward McGregor as Investor Relations Manager

Sigma Designs has announced the hiring of Edward McGregor, CFA as its Investor Relations Manager. McGregor will report to Ken Lowe, Sigma's Vice President of Strategic Marketing. As Investor Relations Manager, Ed will be primarily responsible for executing the company's investor relations program, managing ongoing investor interaction and profiling the external perspective of Sigma.

McGregor has more than 25 years of experience as an investment analyst and portfolio manager. While he has spent time analyzing most industry sectors and capitalization ranges, he has frequently focused on mid-cap and large-cap technology stocks. From October 1995 through May 2007, McGregor was the Equity Portfolio Manager for Winterthur Investment Management, a division of Credit Suisse Group, where he managed the firm's domestic equity portfolio using a combination of fundamental, quantitative and technical analyses.
From 1981 to 1995, McGregor held a succession of analyst and portfolio management positions at Fidelity Union Bank, Bessemer Trust and Beacon Trust. He McGregor holds B.E. degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst as well as a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts and the Electronic Analyst's Group.
