Erhaan Shaikh Appointed Vice President of Altera Asia Pacific

Altera Corp. has further strengthened its position in the rapidly expanding Asia Pacific region with the appointment of Erhaan Shaikh as regional vice president and managing director. Shaikh will be based in Altera's Asia Pacific headquarters in Hong Kong.
Shaikh brings over 18 years of semiconductor and EDA, customer relationship, field applications and sales management experience to his new position. Previously, Shaikh served as Altera's vice president of worldwide field applications, working with customers, field applications engineers and managers globally. Prior to Altera, Shaikh was the European managing director for Synplicity Inc. He has also held sales management and field applications engineering roles with other semiconductor companies.
