Fuji Xerox Printers reveals breakthrough in multifunction colour laser printing

Fuji Xerox Printers, the world leader in printing technologies and innovation, has launched the DocuPrint C3290 FS, an extension to its top-of-the-line range of laser colour multifunction printers. Its sub-S$2,000 price tag and feature set are unmatched by other printers in this category.

With a print speed of 20 pages per minute (ppm) for colour and 30ppm for mono, the DocuPrint C3290 FS seamlessly integrates four of the most commonly used office automation operations – printing, copying, faxing and scanning - into one network-ready unit. These functions can operate simultaneously, thus enhancing office productivity and improving office workflow.

DocuPrint C3290 FS uses Fuji Xerox’s unique Direct Transfer printing process where image is directly transferred from drum to paper for better colour registration. It is further complemented by the new Emulation Aggregation High Quality (EA-HG) Toner to reproduce sharper and smoother graphics and photos.

It is designed with users in mind, with features such as Full Front operation, small footprint, and simple cartridge replacement. An array of document management software is also shipped with the printer for simpler administration. These include:

With more than 1 million licenses sold in Japan and the rest of Asia Pacific since 2004, DocuWorks is Fuji Xerox’s leading document management software. It offers powerful integrated functions such as Optical Character Recognition (OCR), electronic signature, and enhanced document security amongst many others.
· Auditron Function
Auditron is an authentication function that allows the management of printing usage within a small workgroup. Controls can be set on number of prints, in either monochrome or colour. An advanced job accounting feature also enables detailing of usage by individuals or work groups.
· CentreWare Internet Services
Administrators and users can check on printer status, configure settings, and check remaining volume of consumables and paper via a web browser.
· SimpleMonitor Software
This function automatically checks on the status of printer status when a print job is sent to the printer. An alert on your computer screen will be displayed when the print jobs are not executed correctly.

DocuPrint C3290 FS comes with three additional new features that will help in the improvement of office workflow within a small workgroup:
· Direct Fax Feature
Users can send faxes directly from a PC without the need for additional software thereby improving workflow productivity and reducing paper usage.
· Scan to E-mail Feature (via network)
This feature allows users to e-mail scanned documents to single or multiple destinations directly from the DocuPrint C3290 FS without using a PC
· Scan to FTP and SMB server (via network)
Network scanning is a boon for small workgroups. Users can scan and send documents directly to FTP and SMB servers directly. In addition, FTP server destinations can also be entered in the Address Book using embedded CentreWare Internet Services software.
