LitePoint brings in engineering, sales, and communications heavyweights
(Business News, 01 Oct 2007 )
LitePoint Corporation, a provider of wireless test system solutions, has added three senior executives to bolster its growth plans as it prepares for a market poised to quadruple in size. Karsten Vandrup, most recently Senior Research Manager in Nokia Technology Platforms at Nokia, joins the company as vice-president of engineering. Scott Conrad, formerly Western US Basic Instruments Channel Manager at Agilent, is now LitePoint's senior vice-president of sales. And, Rob Brownstein, founder and former chairman of marketing services firm, Words & Images, has joined as vice-president of market relations and communications.
"These three new executives will be of immeasurable value to LitePoint as we continue to execute our plans going forward," said Benny Madsen, chief executive officer. "Each has had invaluable experience that is ideally suited to our present and future needs."
LitePoint focuses entirely on the wireless market serving IC makers, original design makers (ODMs), original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and brand-owning companies. Its common-platform systems, using software-defined DSP technology, offer tailored and efficient testing that spans the wireless value chain. Founded in 2000, LitePoint has had since 2003 an uninterrupted sequence of profitable quarters in the $500 million market for testing Wi-Fi devices. Its new products expand LitePoint's testing portfolio with WiMAX, WiMedia, BlueTooth and ZigBee testing capabilities. As the wireless test market begins serving a converged wireless market in the next two years, the sales opportunity is expected to quadruple. "At every major juncture of business transition, a company must have the right people and processes in place," stated Madsen. "Karsten, Scott and Rob are the right people; and the right processes are in place," he added.
