New Delhi: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS)—an IT services, business solutions and outsourcing organization—has executed a mission-critical engagement for the Labour Market Regulatory Authority (LMRA), an autonomous organization established by Kingdom of Bahrain.

Bahrain’s labour market reforms are the responsibility of the LMRA, which coordinates it through different organizations. Additionally, the LMRA is also responsible for market intelligence, policy development, customer interface and fee collection as well as providing information and communication to the stakeholders.

TCS has developed and continues to support and enhance IT systems for the LMRA to enable it to offer transparent e-services to its customers. TCS has set up complex data integration and a composite mainframe system as well as software and application implementation which includes an Expat Management System (EMS) that automates the administrative processes managing the complete lifecycle of an expat from the entry to the exit.

It has also set up a data warehouse project for market intelligence (MI) that supports collection and archival of labour market related data, analysis to support policy development and decisions for internal regulation of the labour market as well as a fee management system (FMS) for the services offered by LMRA. TCS is also working on developing a policy enforcement system for compliance monitoring and enforcement.

Manoj Sahai, head of TCS in Middle East, said, “TCS has helped LMRA transform the labour market in Bahrain through this flagship engagement in the Middle East. We have helped LMRA and its customers experience certainty by leveraging superior capabilities in system integration using cutting-edge technologies.”

Ali Ahmed Radhi, CEO of LMRA, stated, "It is the LMRA's vision and objective to streamline and simplify the process of obtaining work visas. This requires a highly automated solution and this project would not have been possible with out the strong technology support and systems rendered by the TCS. We are proud to have TCS as a partner. We appreciate this support and partnership and we look forward to more joint projects."
