Invensys Process Systems has announced that Hartmut Wallraf, chief of technology and vice president for Europe and Middle East Africa operations, has been elected Chairman of the Board of the FDT Group. (www.fdtgroup.org). The FDT Group is a consortium of manufacturers and process instrumentation vendors who have come together to enable interoperability among diverse technology protocols.
Mr. Wallraf has more than 30 year's experience in process industries,
supporting process automation, measurement and control related to the
refining, petrochemical, chemical/pharmaceutical and the power
industry. He received his master's degree in engineering from the
University of Cologne; he spent five years with Bayer in Germany; and
has been with Invensys Foxboro in various functions for 27 years.
Mr. Wallraf succeeds Mr. Hartmut Wuttig, board member for ABB, who held
the position for the past two years and who will continue representing
ABB on the board.
