VACUUMSCHMELZE Kicks Off Production at New Site in Mainland China

VACUUMSCHMELZE GmbH & Co. KG has scommenced production at its new manufacturing plant in Shenyang, mainland China. VAC's new plant will manufacture products for its Business Unit Cores and Inductive Components. Located only one hour by air from its capital Beijing and in the immediate vicinity of Shenyang’s Jianzhu University, the factory is excellently placed to gain the maximum logistical and scientific benefits. The brand-new production site is one of VAC’s key bases for further global growth, and a fundamental step towards expansion of the business into the rapidly growing Asian market.
A new high-tech zone has been established next to Shenyang. Companies in this zone—including VAC—benefit from special taxation conditions.
VAC only recently concluded long-term investments in the Materials and Parts division at its German headquarters in Hanau. A total of around Euro22 million were spent on a cold rolling production facility for the construction of a new 20-roll rolling mill.
