Revenues in the Home Systems Installation Channel to Exceed $17B in Five Years
(Business News, 12 Nov 2007 )
Revenues from the home systems integration/installation channel will increase from $9.8 billion in 2007 to $17.4 billion in 2012, according to the latest report from Parks Associates and EH Publishing.
“Consumers are migrating from free-standing electronics to installed control and entertainment systems,” said Bill Ablondi, Director, channel research, Parks Associates. “Adoption of flat-panel displays is a primary driver for this growth. Consumers want to connect these devices, as well as their PCs, game consoles, and media servers, into entertainment networks with Internet access.”
“The growth of this channel represents a huge opportunity for firms that have innovative technology, a willingness to invest in marketing, and knowledge of how the home systems channel operates,” said Daryl Delano, EH Publishing’s research director. “Our brand study revealed several firms that have made significant inroads over the past couple of years based on these success factors.”
Topics at the upcoming EHX briefing will include brand awareness and business characteristics among security dealers, channel revenues, and an update on the residential building market, including trends in new construction, remodeling, and retrofit.
