Fujitsu Microelectronics has announced its MB91F467BA high-performance 32-bit microcontroller from its MB91460 Series for automotive applications. This microcontroller can integrate several in-vehicle Controller Area Networks (CAN).
With its six-channel CAN controller, the most channels in the industry, it is possible to realize interconnection and gateway functionality among CAN networks of different speeds, or between CAN and FlexRay2 allowing for control over combinations of various in-vehicle networks.
The MB91F467BA microcontroller has 1Mb of Flash memory and a 32-channel A/D converter as its base configuration, and can also be used as the primary microcontroller for automotive dashboard and automotive body control. It has a top processing speed of 100MHz, and offers not only body control but gateway functionality as well.
The MB91460 Series of microcontrollers feature a common FR60 CPU core and peripheral functions. The series also boasts a common development chip that reduces software development costs and reuses customer resources.
