Avago Technologies expands line of optocouplers for hybrid electric vehicles
(Product News, 21 Dec 2007 )
Avago Technologies has released the latest addition to its optocouplers family, which is targeted at the hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) market. The new automotive-grade ACPL-M46T is a 1MBd Intelligent Power Module (IPM) digital interface optocoupler, which requires a low input LED drive current of 10mA and performs over a wide temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
The device meets the automotive AEC-Q100 semiconductor stress test guidelines. In addition, the ACPL-M46T offers excellent common mode transient rate (CMR) of 15kV/µs at VCM = 1.5kV, which prevents erroneous driving of the IPM interface and ensures reliable operation under noisy operating environments.
Avago’s new automotive-grade digital optocoupler is RoHS compliant and comes housed in a surface mount, SO-5 package.
