EPCOS CeraDiode sample kit features CD with application examples

EPCOS is offering a sample kit for the CeraDiode with exemplary types from the entire product range. Besides discrete CeraDiode components, the kit also contains double and quadruple arrays. The samples are designed for response voltages of 5.6V DC to 30V DC. In addition, the sample kit features a CD containing data sheets and extensive application examples.
Unlike conventional TVS diodes, the CeraDiode’s ESD protection is effective for both positive and negative voltages. The package and pad configuration were developed to allow replacement of the more expensive TVS diode solutions with no redesign of the circuit board. CeraDiode solutions also exhibit better thermal performance than semiconductor-based designs.
Apart from their extremely short response time of less than 0.5ns, these components are distinguished by a low parasitic capacitance of only 5pF, so that no significant signal distortion or attenuation occurs even at high data rates.
