Exar expands distribution agreement with Nu Horizons Electronics globally

Nu Horizons Electronics Corp. and Exar Corp. have expanded their existing distribution agreement to include worldwide franchised rights for Exar's full line of Communications, Interface and Power products, including the recently acquired Sipex portfolio of Power Management, LED Backlighting and Interface devices.

Exar designs, develops and markets power management and connectivity silicon solutions for a wide array of applications such as portable devices, home media gateways, communications systems, and industrial automation equipment.

"We firmly believe by extending our full product offering to Nu Horizons globally, we can leverage their knowledgeable sales team, technical acumen and tools to create new revenue streams for Exar," said Gene Schaeffer, Vice President Worldwide Sales, Exar.

"This global expansion reaffirms the success of our 21 year relationship," added Wendell Boyd, President of Nu Horizons Asia. "The addition of Exar's Interface and Power products complements our technology solutions portfolio by strengthening the products available to our customers within the consumer, networking and industrial markets."
