OSRAM Opto Semiconductors’ Diamond DRAGON is a super-bright LED that achieves brightness of up to 250 lumens. Available in whites ranging from 2700K through 6500K as well as all monochromatic colors, this LED is ideal for indoor and outdoor general lighting, automotive forward and signal lighting, and other high performance applications.
The exceptionally low thermal resistance of Rth = 2.5K/W provided by the Diamond DRAGON's SMT package allows heat produced in the chip to be efficiently removed from the LED package. The maximum junction temperature of 175°C makes these LEDs extremely robust and enables applications where the LED cannot be easily cooled. The combination of low thermal resistance and high junction temperature capability allows Diamond DRAGON LEDs to be easily integrated in small spotlights such as MR-16’s bulb retrofits, and recessed downlights.
