Accell raises the bar in HDMI distribution with launch of UltraAV 4-8 HDMI switch

(Technology News, 29 Feb 2008 )

Accell, a leader of enhanced connectivity, announced the release of the UltraAV 4-8 HDMI Switch. Featuring an industry-leading four HDMI inputs and eight HDMI outputs, this latest addition to Accell’s signal distribution product line offers unprecedented versatility for commercial, multi-display environments—including retail stores, bars, and restaurants. Priced at just $299 MSRP, the UltraAV 4-8 Switch makes HDMI distribution more affordable than ever.

The UltraAV 4-8 HDMI Switch can route high definition video up to 1080p and multi-channel audio signals from any four sources, including HD-DVD players and HD satellite systems, and mirror the high definition content, without degradation, to eight different displays simultaneously. The switch supports HDCP-compatible devices and a built-in signal booster extends HDMI cable runs up to 82 feet (25 meters).

Accell’s smart auto-switching takes the guesswork out of configuration. The UltraAV 4-8 HDMI Switch automatically detects the active video source and switches to it. As a result, end users no longer need to juggle HDMI cables, or manually select the active signal. The switch can be easily operated via remote control. Its convenient Infrared Extender, typically an optional add-on with other switches, enables the remote control to interact with the switch even without line-of-sight.
