Fairchild Semiconductor appoints Allan Lam Executive Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Marketing

Fairchild Semiconductor, a leading global supplier of high performance products that drive energy-efficiency, has appointed Allan Lam to lead the sales and marketing organization worldwide.
Lam has more than 28 years in the industry, most recently as Senior Vice President of Fairchild’s Standard Products Group (SPG), which represents one quarter of the company’s business. His experience includes Vice President of Sales for Vishay Intertechnology Asia and Vice President of their Standard Products Group. He has also held positions in management, quality, marketing, sales and engineering with Temic, BBS Electronics, CiNERGi, SGS-Thomson Microelectronics and National Semiconductor.
Lam holds a BA in business administration from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Melbourne, Australia, and diplomas in management studies from the Singapore Institute of Management and in electronics engineering from Hong Kong Polytechnic.
