Avago Technologies receives 2008 Global Optocouplers Company of the Year Award

Avago Technologies has received the 2008 Global Optocouplers Company of the Year Award from Frost & Sullivan, a global growth consulting company. Avago was selected for its leadership in the optocoupler market, exceptional efforts to understand customer needs to increase customer satisfaction, and for demonstrating continued commitment to meeting the specific requirement of its customers.

In its announcement, Frost & Sullivan recognized Avago as a pioneer in the optocoupler market with regard to its technological innovation and development of new products and solutions using optocouplers. Moreover, the company which has captured more than 20 percent share of the global optocoupler market has also achieved undisputed market leadership in the production of photo IC-type optocouplers, with a share of more than 65 percent.

Commenting on the selection of Avago for the award, Frost & Sullivan Analyst Jaydeep Bhattacharjee, said, “Avago Technologies has been a pioneer in the optocoupler market for many years, and is a global leader in this market. Its strong commitment toward gaining technical competence over its competitors, while leading the search for new applications to drive the optocoupler market forward has resulted in their market success.”
