R&S expands ATC radio family to military applications

( 01 Jul 2008 )

The R&S Series 4200 is now available as a UHF model, which extends the radio family from Rohde & Schwarz to include ground-to-air communications in military air traffic control (ATC). Equipped with an external encryption device, the UHF transceivers can also be used in security-critical operations. The VHF model of the R&S Series 4200 for civil ATC is already successfully established on the market. The radios can be remotely controlled and monitored via a standard LAN interface – a task made even easier when the optional R&S RCMS II management system is added.
