Shunra Software expands its Asia Pacific region operations with new office and regional VP

Shunra Software, in response to sharp revenue growth in the Asia Pacific Region, it is expanding its presence with a new APAC Regional office in Singapore, and has appointed Mr. Charles Cousins as the Vice President for Asia Pacific.

Shunra continues to expand its international presence and customer roster, as evidenced by international contributions equaling 25% of the company's revenue. This growth is fueled by Shunra's industry leading products including the powerful 10GB WAN emulation appliance, the STA and the VE Application Performance Analysis Package. The APAC region boasts a strong Shunra customer base including: Yamaha Corporation, Oki Electric, EMC Japan, Toyota, Canon, Macquarie Bank, and MFAT ATL Systems.

Maser Australia, a global reseller for Shunra located in Sydney, Australia, is a diversified distributor of solutions including Telco Test and Monitoring, IP/IT Test and Monitoring, Wireless and RF, and Security. "Shunra's expansion into Asia Pacific is an exciting advancement, driven by the significant growth experienced in the region, the new Shunra office will provide a much needed support for continued growth," said Dave Hensley, Business Development Manager at Maser Australia. "We have seen the demand for testing solutions such as those available in Shunra's suite of tools grow considerably over the past year. IT professionals understand, more than ever, the value of testing applications or services in a pre-production setting with WAN emulation. We look forward to working with Mr. Cousins, his extensive background in this industry and region will be central in managing the foreseen market demand."

Shunra's solutions provide the ability to develop, test and deploy 'network-aware' applications throughout the entire development lifecycle. Using Shunra's WAN emulation solution, clients worldwide are rolling out applications and services into their live production network with confidence, reporting an overall reduction in time and cost commonly associated with traditional rollouts.

Charles Cousins, Shunra Vice President for Asia Pacific, brings with him more than 15 years IT sales, marketing and distribution experience in APAC. Previously, he established the regional offices for two of Europe's leading IT Security and Mobile Computing companies, and built their distribution network and enterprise client base throughout the region. "I am delighted to be joining Shunra's cutting-edge team at this time," said Charles. "The rapid globalization of APAC headquartered companies means that, increasingly, Asia is taking the lead on decisions regarding WAN infrastructure and corporate applications deployment."
