OSRAM has provided direct Internet access to the ray data for its light emitting diodes. The ray files indicate the pattern in which light is emitted from an LED and include the coordinates of the emission point, the direction of emission, the intensity and the wavelength. The internet information covers almost the entire LED portfolio, including infrared emitter diodes (IREDs). All the ray data, a customer CAD model for board design (3D design and package) and information on how to use this data can be downloaded from www.osram-os.com/ray-files.
