New Delhi: Sun Microsystems announced the formation of a new emerging markets sales geography to drive accelerated expansion and sales coverage across growing markets in South and Eastern Europe, Latin America, India and Greater China. The new emerging markets region will be led by Denis Heraud, Sun's senior vice president of Asia Pacific. Heraud will take on an expanded charter to lead the united emerging markets territory.
In conjunction with the formation of the emerging markets region, Sun also announced a series of organizational leadership changes to accommodate the new sales geographic coverage model within and outside India. Sun Microsystems announced the promotion of Anil Valluri, to the role of GEM (geographically established market) vice president & managing director India. This announcement follows the promotion of Bhaskar Pramanik, president, India GEM Sun Microsystems to VP global volume business, based out of Sun Microsystems corporate headquarters at Menlo Park. Bhaskar’s new role will focus on building and growing Sun’s volume business across the world.
