Renesas Technology America, Inc. will hold its first developers’ conference in San Diego, California from October 13-15, 2008. The technology event showcases Renesas’ most advanced embedded solutions centered on microcontrollers (MCUs) and microprocessors (MPUs), and also offers many useful design tips and techniques in a combination of lectures and hands-on labs. Online registration is now open at www.renesasdevcon.com. The cost to attend the event is $985 ($699 if purchased early.)

“This developers’ conference establishes an important customer service milestone for the company,” said Ali Sebt, executive vice president, Renesas Technology America, Inc. “It gives us a dynamic, interactive way to reach out to customers in embedded systems markets with our technical knowledge and expertise so we can help them design new products more efficiently. At the same time, we hope that this event will present many opportunities for exploring unique design ideas and implementing innovative system solutions among the engineering community. Attendees will enjoy mingling with industry leaders and Renesas experts in the warm hospitality of the Westin Gaslamp Quarter hotel in beautiful downtown San Diego.”

About the Renesas Technology Developers’ Conference
Hosted by the world’s largest MCU supplier, the two-and-a-half-day technology conference gives system designers developing embedded systems special access to the latest advances in microcomputer technology. It also provides them with timely, proven insights into practical solutions that they can apply to accelerate and enhance engineering projects.

The conference will encompass over 80 sessions on a wide range of hot topics, ranging from robust CAN connectivity for networked embedded systems to direct-drive solutions for TFT LCD panels in consumer electronics products, motor control methods for home appliances, to FlexRay technology and hybrid vehicles. Content-rich lectures and hands-on laboratory sessions will be led by embedded systems experts from Renesas and technology partners from the large community of third-party suppliers who supports Renesas MCUs and MPUs. About 250-300 attendees are expected to attend the event. Similar events will be hosted in Europe, Japan and Asia in the near future.
