TI Delivers 1.6-MHz, 3-A DC/DC Converter With Disable Sink During Start-up

(Product News, 05 Sep 2008 )

1.6-MHz, 3-A DC/DC Converter with Disable Sink During Start-Up: The TPS54377 is a 3-V to 6-V input DC/DC converter with integrated FETs that step down the voltage as low as 0.9V. The switching frequency is synchronizable and adjustable to 1.6MHz to reduce the size of external components and assist in specific spectral noise bands. The device delivers up to 3-A output current at full temperature and supports 4-A peak output current. It features power good, enable, adjustable slow-start, current limit, thermal shutdown and 1% reference accuracy. The TPS54377 can be used in broadband, networking and communications infrastructure, distributed power systems and POL regulation for DSP, FPGAs and ASICs.
