Agilent Technologies' Asia Wireless Test Tour to Conclude in Hong Kong Tomorrow

(Business News, 04 Sep 2008 )

Agilent Technologies Inc.'s annual Wireless Test World (WTW), Asian wireless test tour, which started June 17, will conclude it's nine-city tour tomorrow, September 5, in Hong Kong.

This year's event theme, "Moving into a New Era of Wireless," focuses on the next generation of wireless broadband technologies such as WiMAX, LTE and HSPA, and presents a sneak preview of what the future holds in terms of new products and services in an age of ubiquitous wireless networking. The tour began in Beijing and traveled to Shanghai, Shenzhen, Daejon, Seoul, Hsinchu, Taipei and Bangalore. It will conclude tomorrow in the Hong Kong Science Park.

The tour is designed for wireless design engineers, project managers and engineering management responsible for making design recommendations and decisions about UMTS and WiMAX communication products and engineers from government-funded certification labs.

The WTW tour includes presentations from Agilent experts, new product exhibitions and hands-on demonstrations. It is a one-stop opportunity for engineers and technicians working in the wireless industry to discover practical and cost-effective solutions to designing and testing communication products for WiMAX, LTE, HSPA/HSPA+ and other emerging technologies.

This year, Agilent has introduced 3GPP LTE design tools and flexible instrumentation including:
- The 3GPP LTE protocol development solutions based on the Agilent E6620A Wireless Communications Test Set, along with the Anite SAT LTE Protocol Development Toolset available through the Agilent/Anite LTE partnership. This first-to-market solution is ideal for engineers working in early protocol design of LTE mobile phones. It is the first in a portfolio of scalable LTE solutions built on the E6620A's advanced, next-generation hardware platform and protocol stack

- The Agilent MXA signal analyzer with a comprehensive Vector Signal Analysis LTE software, along with Agilent's MXG vector signal generator, which has the industry's most powerful LTE Signal Studio software for transceiver and MIMO testing.

"This is a must-attend event for wireless design engineers, project managers and engineering management who are responsible for making design recommendations for WiMAX, LTE, HSPA and HSPA+," says Franklin So, Agilent's Asia marketing director. "We have received excellent comments from the thousands of attendees of our previous WTW tours. They were very pleased with our exceptional level of technical expertise and the broad offering of wireless test solutions we demonstrate."
