New Delhi: Tata Consultancy Services—global IT services, business solutions and outsourcing company—has teamed with SAP AG, provider of business software, on the launch of the TCS center of excellence perfect plant. After running a perfect plant center of excellence in Newtown Square, USA, TCS and SAP now are bringing this concept for perfect plant to SAP’s headquarters in Walldorf, Germany to cover the regions Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
Eric Krapf, head of engineering and industrial services in Europe, TCS, said, “The perfect plant initiative is a model of how companies can derive maximum efficiencies by integrating shop floor solutions with their ERP system. The centre of excellence perfect plant combines the strengths of SAP solutions in manufacturing and TCS’ engineering expertise in shop-floor systems and solutions to bring adaptive manufacturing closer to reality for global manufacturers.”
Patrick Brett, director SAP adaptive manufacturing EMEA at TCS, stated, “The centre of excellence perfect plant in Walldorf affords exposure to world-class prototyping facilities for SAP and TCS’ manufacturing customers across EMEA.
