FCI OEN, one of India’s leading connector manufacturers, has received the First Prize for Business Excellence for the year 2007-08 by Electronic Industries Association of India (ELCINA) and Dun & Bradstreet, the world’s leading source of global business information.
P. George Varghese, Managing Director, FCI OEN, received the award from Dr. V. Krishnamurthy, Chairman of the National Manufacturing Competitive Council (NMCC), the Government of India, during a ceremony held on September 10 in New Delhi.
Speaking during the award ceremony, Mr. P George Varghese, Managing Director, FCI OEN Connectors Ltd said, “It is a moment of great honour to receive this award. Getting recognition for business excellence from ELCINA-Dun & Bradstreet is a great accomplishment for us.”
Established more than 30 years ago, ELCINA is the country’s first organization to institute Annual Awards for Excellence in Electronics for outstanding achievement in electronics and hardware manufacturing & services. Industry experts, Government and Institutions (supporting the Electronics Industry) who comprise the panel of judges, assess the contending organizations in terms of Leadership, Policy & Strategy, People, Process, Customer, Society, Quality, Environment, R&D and Exports to choose the winner for this award.
