Elcoteq SE has announced that Elcoteq Dongguan was honored as one of the Top 100 Information Enterprises in Dongguan in 2008 at the 10th Dongguan International Computer Communication & Consumer Electronic Products Exposition (3C Expo). Mr. Edmund Xia, deputy general manager of Elcoteq Dongguan, accepted the award at the opening ceremony of the conference, which was held at the Dongguan International Conference & Exhibition Center in Dongguan, China on October 20 - 22, 2008.
Elcoteq received this honor for its contribution to accelerating the development of the manufacturing industry in Dongguan. Elcoteq Dongguan was ranked number 34 among the major enterprises in this manufacturing center of China which boasts over 20,000 manufacturing enterprises covering over 30 sectors and making 60,000 types of products.
Elcoteq Dongguan was established in 1999 in the Nancheng District of Dongguan, China and is one of Elcoteq’s four volume manufacturing plants in the Asia-Pacific region. Along with manufacturing services, the company supports original equipment manufacturers (OEM) with fully integrated solutions comprised of collaborative design, manufacturing, engineering services, sourcing, demand and supply chain management, and after-sales services (product repair and product recycling) for the entire lifecycle of their products. Manufacturing services offered include box build and sub-assembly manufacturing for communications products such as mobile phones, (GSM, PHS, CDMA), LCD driver modules, and base station modules. The Dongguan International Computer Communication & Consumer Electronics Exposition (3C Expo) is a signature show in Dongguan, featuring computer accessories, software, communication and network products. The event is supported by the Dongguan Municipal Government every year as Dongguan is an important manufacturing center for computer and peripherals in China.
